    SBB IC2000 modernization (IC2020 project) – Selectron develops a new compact controller

    Selectron can supply the controller for the sanitary block in the largest modernization project in the history of SBB for long-haul traffic. Digital and analog inputs and outputs had to be provided in a compact controller within the smallest possible amount of space. The sanitary block controller is equipped with an optical MVB interface in order to leave communication with the existing control technology unchanged.
    In addition to the hardware, Selectron has also developed the application software.

    On January 23, 2019, the Wenzhou Rail Transit Line S1 was officially put into operation – it is the first batch of new urban railway demonstration projects in China.
    The TCMS equipment for the Urban EMU is supplied by Selectron.

    Selectron is expanding its portfolio of components with integration capability. Controller solutions (ICC) are now being followed by interface modules with integration capability. As the first module, the Class 2 "Integrated MVB Core" IMC 201-T is about to be completed. Class 4 for bus administrator applications, as well as WTB solutions based on the same "System on Module" (SOM) are planned.

    Selectron completes the MAS 73x/83x controller family with Ethernet node modules. The new DDEs are available both as a non-safety-oriented variant DDE 731-Tx and as a safety-oriented variant DDE 735-Tx/SIL.

    Thanks to the new Xrote 3933 snow blower, the Gornergrat Railway was ideally equipped for this year's winter season.
    The powerful snow blower from ZAUGG AG EGGIWIL has been in Zermatt since September 2018. The control system for this interesting and unusual project was supplied by Selectron.

    MOS stands for the MAS Operating System. MAS is the abbreviation for the term "Modular Automation System" by Selectron. This product family is constantly being expanded with new products; therefore, the operating system MOS is also subject to constant changes. Currently the safety-oriented operating system MOS83x in the version MOS83x V740 is being certified by TÜV Nord and is nearing completion.

    In splendid weather and with superbly groomed pistes, some participants took to their skis or snowboard, while others preferred snowshoes.
    The Berghaus restaurant proved a paradise for both the palate and the eye; the famous après-ski route was another highlight, as it is every year.
    A fantastic weekend with lots of snow sports, a great atmosphere and a cozy get-together was over far too soon.
