Our brand story

Since the 1950s, the Selectron Systems AG has been a synonym for innovation spirit and pioneering technology. It is the oldest electronics company of Switzerland with 70 years of experience. What had started with hearing aids and time relays, led to the realization of the first electronic voting in the Swiss National Council in the 1970s – a milestone in the automation and digitization of public processes.

Since 2005, the Selectron Systems AG has focused on driving forward the sustainable automation and digitization in the rail sector by harmonized hardware and software components. The strategic focus is on control and networking of rail vehicles meeting the highest safety and cyber security standards. Today, the company is one of the leading suppliers in this sector worldwide.

More than 160 high-qualified employees – around 80 percent of them engineers and technicians – develop future-oriented, versatile and scalable solutions in the sector of Smart Electronics at the Swiss headquarters in Lyss (BE) for customers all over the world.
